"kosmische Raupe" developed as part of my research "mimesis and the poetic body". my focus was combining several axes: 1) the fascist residue in German institutions and how it impacted the body. after graduating from acting school, i had become unable to act and was wondering, what mechanism in this institution were at work. 2) my subconscious world and the archetypes present in them. particularly: the witch, the dragon and the cosmic caterpillar. i used guided travels to connect with my archetypes and transform trauma stored in my body. 3) sound as a way of connecting both experiences. as in many works i use the dialectic of night an day, which mirrors psychological splitting, conscious and subconscious, physical and mystical.
